FLOW

“I live my life on self-belief and I live it partly going with the flow.”  Melanie Brown

Flow is a word that can be used to have many varied meanings. When we think of flow we think of ease, simplicity, effortlessness.  In terms of water and rain, flow can be fast, soft, hard, heavy. It can mean movement, motion, course, or can apply to science terms of electricity or physics.  Flow in the field of mind/body healing can be the culmination of doing what you love, your mission, vocation, passion, what you on are this earth to accomplish. Flow can be picking up a paintbrush and playing with colors and brushstrokes, or running in nature and you forget time and space, playing with your child or pet while forgetting about tomorrow’s deadlines, or mastering a piece of music that no longer takes effort.   Many people search for “flow”. Some people stumble upon it, while others have to consciously work at it. Flow is another state for (natural) being.

As we begin to move into flow, our lives require more presence and less worry. Less planning and more spontaneity. We are distracted less. We begin to open to possibility, trusting in the process and not knowing what will happen next. But somewhere deep inside we know that our lives are unfolding as they should. There is no happenstance, just synchronicity.

Flow can be an internal state of being to add depth, purpose and calm to your journey.

Start by choosing joyful movement or sitting quietly each day. Open to the whispers of possibility. Go with the flow....
